Egmont UK has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join the global Procurement Team at Egmont Printing Service which is responsible for purchasing all books and magazines for Egmont Group. Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will play a vital role in the delivery of an exceptional and rigorously reported buying service, helping to maximise our purchasing power and drive down costs across the Global business.
 

Primary responsibilities for this role include analysing and negotiating prices with suppliers, advising publishers on the best technical specifications to achieve the most cost effective print and manufacturing solutions and liaising with internal teams on processes, product safety and quality procedures.
 

In addition to being an excellent negotiator, you will have strong analytical skills, great communication and interpersonal skills and an eye for detail. You will also have the ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritise effectively and be solutions focussed.
 

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of book industry needs, a good track record for establishing and maintaining good long term supplier relationships and the flexibility to travel as required.
