Senior Rights Manager

At Egmont we are passionate about children’s publishing. Our fast-growing, dynamic Rights Team is recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Rights Manger.

In this varied role you will be responsible for contributing to the budget and strategic objectives of the Rights team by driving sales in your allocated markets. You will pursue sales opportunities and negotiate favourable terms with our customers whilst maintaining consistently high levels of customer service.

You will attend major book fairs and visit key markets in order to maintain relationships with existing customers, in addition to sourcing new accounts and sales channels.  

Reporting to the Rights Director, you will work with the team to develop and implement the long-term business plan, detailing critical success factors and opportunities for growth.  You will also ensure customer, market and product feedback is communicated to the creative teams in order to maximise opportunities in the international markets. You will be responsible for managing two members of the team and supporting their development as Rights professionals.   

To be considered for this opportunity you should have extensive rights and co-editions sales experience, with excellent organisational and planning skills, an interest in children’s books. Knowledge of a foreign language (particularly Spanish) would be an advantage.

The role is based in our offices near Latimer Road/Shepherd’s Bush tube stations in West London
