Faber & Faber is a leading independent literary publisher, recent winner of both Trade Publisher of the Year and Publisher of the Year. We are seeking to recruit an International Sales Manager to maximise our sales in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the USA and Canada. We need someone who will be passionate and motivated to deliver ambitious growth and profitability for the Faber and Independent Alliance lists. You will be responsible for sales of Faber titles in all international territories, with additional market-specific sales responsibility for Granta, Daunt Books, Pushkin Press, Scribe and Short Books.

As International Sales Manager, you will manage the interface between publishers and sales agencies in order to deliver the international sales budget and provide regular analysis and feedback on titles and markets. You will work creatively and collaboratively with internal and external colleagues to drive publishing strategy and be the first point of contact for your markets. As part of a busy and creative team, your responsibilities will include agreeing and monitoring turnover targets, organising local prints, liaising on author tours, supplying title forecasting, communicating campaign plans and attending key internal publishing meetings.

In addition to your proven international sales track record and knowledge of the publishing process, you will be a confident strategic thinker, highly organised with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, whose affinity with our books and authors will champion international sales for Faber and the Independent Alliance.
