Marketing and Website Assistant
We are looking for a Marketing and Website Assistant to join the Faber Marketing Department.
Undertaking their own campaigns right from the start, this job will suit somebody who is full of brilliant ideas which they can carry forward with their own initiative. We’re not looking for somebody with any specific work experience or particular qualifications, but applicants should be able to demonstrate a passion for book marketing, a strong creative sensibility, excellent copywriting skills and an impeccable eye for design. Also within the role is responsibility for the upkeep of faber.co.uk, thinking up effective ways to sell our books from the site and ensuring an excellent customer experience for anyone shopping with us – so you need to be digitally minded and comfortable with website maintenance. The Marketing and Website Assistant will provide general support to the department, helping on larger campaigns, maintaining our spreadsheets and systems, and lending a hand at events. This is the perfect role for somebody who is passionate about literary publishing and finding new ways to reach readers.
Key responsibilities:
Campaign marketing for titles across our fiction and non-fiction publishing
General upkeep and customer services support for faber.co.uk
Supporting other team members on larger campaigns
Management of CMS, Wordpress blog and Magento platform
Briefing designers, film makers, animators and media agencies
Producing sell-in including proofs, presenters, and samplers
Ensuring campaign activity is delivered on time and to budget
Social media strategy for our books and authors
Supporting at Faber Social and Faber Members events
General department support as needed
Updating and maintaining budget sheets and organisational documents
