Production Assistant

Faber is a leading independent literary publisher, recent winner of the Trade Publisher of the Year and Publisher of the Year. Our Production Department is looking to recruit a Production Assistant to support the smooth delivery of both the frontlist publication programme in all formats (print, ebook, audio), the backlist stock requirements and the output of the third-party production services.

The role is highly comprehensive, involving some responsibility for all aspects of production; processing reprints, co-ordinating paperback and e-book production, liaising with external suppliers and very closely with other internal departments, preparing for key meetings, preparing precise costings for third-party printings, and general departmental admin using Biblio3, Adobe creative suite and Microsoft Office applications as well as some bespoke software. This will lead to the responsibility for working on their own list of titles which will include some colour work.

We are looking for a very organised individual with the ability to prioritise their workload, who is flexible, literate and a team player with a passion for the practical and logistical aspects of publishing.
