Publicist/Publicity Manager

Faber and Faber Children's is looking to recruit a talented and dynamic Publicist / Publicity Manager. The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a busy department driving fully integrated PR campaigns and events for the Faber Childrens list. Responsibilities will include liaising closely with authors, agents, events organisers, booktrade, schools, librarians, journalists and bloggers to generate high profile coverage and drive sales.  This position is a key voice in the children's team and the successful candidate will be working with Faber authors such as Emma Carroll, Kate Saunders, Alwyn Hamilton, Harry Hill , Pip Jones and Kieran Larwood.    

The post requires excellent communication and organisation skills, an aptitude for social media and engagement with online communities, and an ability to work well under pressure. Previous experience of  launching debuts, building brands and working on high-profile and commercial campaigns is essential, as well as a strong network of children's specific contacts across the media and booktrade. The candidate will be able to deliver excellent author care and be a good team player.
