Key Account Director (illustrated Books, London)

Our client, a highly respected London based adult and children’s book publishing house seek a talented Key Account Director to help develop their growing national sales with all channels.

This is a super new career opportunity with a very successful non-corporate publisher where you'll enjoy a degree of autonomy reporting to the UK & International Sales Director.

As the Company grows, for the right person, this role could be a springboard for a more senior role within the business.

The publisher creates great book products that are perfectly targeted and sell well in the main book trade, non and special sales marketplaces, and this is a super opportunity for a talented sales person to make a great impact immediately.

Although the key account base and range you will be managing is quite varied, it’s important that as a candidate you have a great reputation in the established book trade and enjoy selling quality books.

The publisher wants to encourage candidates with excellent key account sales experience looking for either a step up and more responsibility or have a desire to get more involved and influence all aspects of publishing, including book acquisition, marketing and operations.

If you feel this role could be of interest to you, you'll need the following;

* You'll need a good track record of developing trade sales within publishing key accounts

* You'll also need experience of selling illustrated trade books, or related books

*You'll need to be commercially minded and cost conscious

* Have the ability to work on your own initiative and be self-motivated

* Enjoy working in a non-corporate publishing environment where you can be more hands on

*Desire to work with both adult and childrens non-fiction book products

*Willingness to travel to your account base and manage a busy workload

A very good salary is on offer (depending on the experience you bring) PLUS generous Company benefits are part of the overall package, and you’ll be London based.

If this role sounds like it could be of interest to you, then in the first instance, in confidence, please send a short intro note with your CV and your current salary to Danny Parnes by email on danny@gregorymartin.org to discuss this opportunity further.

*We currently have other sales roles at all levels and we would like to hear from all candidates who are ready for a career move or are ready to take their career to the next level.
