National Account Sales Manager (Supermarkets) London

Our client, a highly successful mass market trade childrens publisher are looking for an ambitious Key Account Sales Manager to manage their established and growing Supermarket Multiples National accounts.

This is in our view a super role with a highly regarded trade publisher. You’ll be selling a varied range of commercial and acclaimed leading bestselling childrens trade books & brands names. As National Account Manager, you’ll be based in London working closely with the Trade Sales Director.

The role of the National Account Manager plays a key part in trade sales development and includes forecasting sales, analysing account activity, regular business reports and competitor activity as well as developing knowledge of the list and helping new business development where possible.   

You’ll also have the opportunity to build print runs and create a range of individual bespoke books for the National Accounts you handle. Your accounts will be part of the leading established and growing supermarket sector, so it’s important you have very good previous supermarket sales experience, ideally in books or equivalent mass market consumer products.

This role would suit someone already at mass market national account management, or sales management level, however, the publisher would consider other candidates not yet at this level, but are more than experienced and ready to step up to National Account Management level.

You’ll join a very successful UK sales team and have the flexibly and opportunity to work the odd day from home as your key account work dictates, so you'll need to be self-sufficient, positive minded, a self-starter as well as a well organised sales manager.
