A market leading and highly respected international illustrated publisher seeks a Special Sales New Business Manager to look after their new business across all non-traditional book sectors.

You will be selling a varied range of well-known leading branded commercial illustrated adult & children's books & book stationery products from the market leading publishing imprints that sell well across all the major non-trade markets.  

You'll need around 4-5 years’ sales experience in business development ideally with trade books, gifts, or related stationery product lines. The type of person we are looking for is apro-active sales person, highly organised, numerate with excel skills and understands the supply chain process. We'd like to hear from applicants at every sales level, if you feel this role could be for you.

The key focus of your role as the Manager is outward facing, you’ll be following up leads, seeking new business opportunities across all retail, high street and specialist gifting accounts in what is now an established and one of the fastest growing market sector in books. You need to be independent enough to research, prospect and follow up leads.

Due to their well-known product range, this publisher receives a constant stream of enquiries from the non-trade, your role is to follow up and open new accounts when possible.  Part of this very varied role is to also be the Company Trade Show Manager, responsible for their presence at the leading trade shows throughout the year, this is an important vehicle for developing new business leads and for key account development.

The very competitve salary range for this position will depend on the experience you bring, plus a good bonus (up to an additional £5K on top of the salary) and contributory pension scheme as well. You will be based in Central London within easy reach of Greater London and the home counties.
