Book Cover Designer

Hodder has been leading the field in outstanding commercial cover design for 150 years.

Designing for us is varied, fast-paced and never dull. If you have a flair for knowing what catches a reader’s eye, for design that will stand out on a crowded bookshop shelf or webpage and if you love the challenge of meeting a commercial brief in new and surprising ways that will transform a great book into a bestseller, then we can offer the opportunity to work in a creative environment designing a range of our titles.

Essential requirements:

• Proven cover design experience

• Impressive portfolio

• Great type skills

• Strong conceptual thinking

• Proficient creative software skills

To apply, please email your CV, and a single A4 sheet with examples of your current design work, to recruitment@hachette.co.uk

Alternatively, send to: HR Department, Hachette UK, Carmelite House, 50 Victoria Embankment, London, EC4Y 0DZ.

Closing Date: 8 June 2018

Unfortunately, due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are only able to get in touch directly with shortlisted candidates. If you are shortlisted and need us to make any adjustments to help you attend for interview, please do let us know.

Hachette employs people on the basis of their abilities. We aim to attract and develop talent from a base as broad as the world of readers we want to reach, with a wide and representative range of age, faith, disability, race, gender, sexuality and socio-economic, regional and cultural backgrounds.
