Who we are and what we do

Hachette Children’s Group is seeking an energetic and self-motivated Audio and Digital Executive to join its Brands and Content team, project managing audio and digital publishing across the HCG list. This is an exciting opportunity to drive HCG’s programme of digital products from acquisitions through publication and beyond, building a profitable audio list across both front list and back list titles and maximising digital opportunities.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Head of Brand Strategy and Licensed Content, you will manage all audio content creation and delivery across HCG, from production schedules to casting to metadata to relationships with studios. You will also work closely with other departments including sales, marketing and rights to maximise the potential of our audio list. You will work with the Head of Brand Strategy and Licensed Content to set the strategy for audio publishing and explore new opportunities for audio content.

The Audio and Digital Executive will also be responsible for optimising metadata on all digital products, tracking metadata performance where strategic, and incorporating new trends/news events/popular culture moments where appropriate. You’ll liaise with editorial, marketing and digital sales to drive eBook sales growth across HCG. You will work closely with Head of Brand Strategy and Licensed Content and editorial to develop and drive eBook publishing strategy.

The Executive will also manage any admin relating to audio or eBooks within the department, including all delivery and fulfilment of audio files, database management, invoicing/POs and other admin as needed.

Who we’re looking for

Applicants who have a genuine interest in audio publishing, and who are:

  • Excellent written and verbal communicators.
  • Problems-solvers, who can work independently and think strategically.
  • Organised and adaptable, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Creative and entrepreneurial, with a positive outlook..

You will have proven experience working with audio production or other aspects of audio publishing in any industry (e.g., music, podcasting or live events). Experience within the book publishing industry is not required. Project management experience would be an asset.
