Sales Operations Executive

Our Group Sales Operations team are looking for a Sales Operations Executive to join them in supporting the team in the smooth running of all sales operations related functions. This is a very busy position and would suit someone with some previous publishing experience, excellent Excel skills and solid commercial awareness.

Responsibilities
 Maintain stock availability across both front and backlist titles, through regular stock and sales analysis.
 Liaise with key retailers; monitoring ordering and stock holding
 Chair regular Reprint Meetings with representatives from across the company.   Implement and oversee any required reprints.
 Monitor customer orders & sell through on key titles and ensure customers   receive stock when required.
 Analyse excess stock reports on a monthly basis and run regular excess stock     meetings. Liaise with Finance, Sales and Editorial re. excess stock and take   appropriate action
 Deal with queries business wide regarding stock availability.
 Act as a key link between various areas in the business, in particular between   Distribution and home and export sales.

Key Skills/Experience
 Significant administrative experience ideally within publishing or retail
 Knowledge of publishing processes
 Analytical and strong commercial awareness
 Strong communication skills with the ability to develop productive working         relationships with relevant stakeholders
 Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
 Highly experienced in Excel with the ability to learn new processes and systems
 A self-confident individual who works well under pressure

We’re based in the News Building which we share with our News UK and Dow Jones colleagues in the newly-established London Bridge Quarter, opposite the famous Borough Market. Our new open-plan office has amazing views across London, and includes a variety of break-out areas to aid inspiration and a collaborative approach, a multi-media suite, and a fabulous canteen floor and book shop.
