Headline Publishing Group is looking for a dynamic and proactive individual to join the small team working on our new and ambitious imprint, Wildfire. Publishing a broad mix of fiction and non-fiction, Wildfire titles are compelling and thought-provoking and imaginative.

 

Our Editorial Director is taking some maternity leave and we are seeking an experienced editor to hold the fort in her absence.

 

Reporting directly to the Publishing Director, you will oversee every stage of a book’s progress, whilst maintaining our high editorial standards. You’ll be a meticulous editor, who thrives on collaborating as part of a vibrant imprint team.  You’ll be responsible for liaising with authors, co-ordinating plans with the sales and communications teams, writing copy, briefing covers, structural editing across an exciting new fiction list.

 

In addition, you’ll be passionate about commercial fiction publishing, with a particular love of crime and thrillers.

 

The role is based at Carmelite House in Blackfriars.
