Laurence King Publishing, one of the world’s leading publishers of books and gifts on the creative arts, is looking for an editor to work in its successful gift division.

You will be working within our closely knit gift team and focusing mostly on non-book projects such as games, instructional and inspirational card sets, stationery, and new gift formats, taking them from manuscript through to final proofs, including preparation of sales material. 

You must have some experience of publishing, editing, and working with designers and illustrators, as well as a willingness to learn and adapt. An enthusiasm for developing new games would be a plus. You will be liaising with other departments in the company and good communication skills are crucial. 

Note that this is not just a traditional editorial position but ideal for someone with initiative and flexibility to help us improve and streamline the development of our gifts publishing programme. Due to the fast-paced nature of gift publishing, we are hoping to fill this post relatively quickly.
