Sales & Marketing Manager

The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join award-winning Publisher, Nobrow Ltd. We are looking for an experienced, skilled, self-motivated and highly-organised Sales and Marketing Manager to work across both the Nobrow and Flying Eye Books lists. The role is a permanent full-time position based in our East London offices and offers a competitive salary, great development prospects and generous staff discounts.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and running exciting and innovative bookseller engagement campaigns      
  • Managing relationship with our UK distributor
  • Creating marketing and point of sale material for retailers      
  • Liaising with our US office to manage global campaigns
  • Producing sell-in material for the Key Accounts Team
  • Content planning creation for web, social media and newsletters    
  • Producing bespoke add-ons for retailers           
  • Managing the day to day running of our small trade marketing team         

 

You need to be creative, innovative and organised with excellent relationship-building and communication skills. You will have considerable experience of creating marketing material and a proven track record of working on bookseller engagement campaigns, as well as experience with project management and budget management. You must be able to work autonomously and be good at prioritising work under pressure. Experience in publishing is preferred.

 

Skills, knowledge, experience:

  • Marketing professional with at least three year’s marketing experience in publishing
  • Proven ability to manage multiple project simultaneously 
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills, internally and externally
  • Demonstrate an understanding of online and offline marketing techniques  
  • Highly creative with a strong eye for design
  • Passionate about marketing and children’s books
  • Strong copywriting and copyediting skills 
  • Team player but also able to proactively act on own initiative
