The Primary team at Oxford University Press publish highly successful programmes that make a real difference in the classroom across Literacy and Maths. These include print and digital student and teacher resources

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a motivated editor with experience in an educational publishing environment to play a key role within the Primary Maths team working on high-profile maths resources.

Responsibilities include:

  • Commissioning and overseeing the development of print and digital materials
  • Recruiting and managing freelancers, authors and suppliers
  • Managing a project to publication on schedule and within budget

Please note, this is a 10 month fixed term contract.

 ABOUT YOU

If you are keen to work in a creative, collaborative environment to develop engaging and innovative Maths resources, we want to hear from you.

You will have:

  • excellent editorial skills including a keen eye for detail
  • experience working on print and digital resources
  • a proven record in project management
  • the ability to work well on your own initiative
  • great team working and people management skills, including working with authors
  • computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • excellent organisational, verbal and written communication skills

A grasp of the Primary and Secondary schools market including an understanding of classroom practice would be a distinct advantage, as would be an advanced qualification in Maths.
