ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a motivated editor with experience in an educational publishing environment to play a key role within the Primary Maths team working on high-profile maths resources.
Responsibilities include:
- Commissioning and overseeing the development of print and digital materials
- Recruiting and managing freelancers, authors and suppliers
- Managing a project to publication on schedule and within budget
Please note, this is a 10 month fixed term contract.
ABOUT YOU
If you are keen to work in a creative, collaborative environment to develop engaging and innovative Maths resources, we want to hear from you.
You will have:
- excellent editorial skills including a keen eye for detail
- experience working on print and digital resources
- a proven record in project management
- the ability to work well on your own initiative
- great team working and people management skills, including working with authors
- computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- excellent organisational, verbal and written communication skills
A grasp of the Primary and Secondary schools market including an understanding of classroom practice would be a distinct advantage, as would be an advanced qualification in Maths.
