The Primary Department is dynamic and creative and is responsible for growing a range of print and digital resources as well as established brands that include Oxford Reading Tree, Project X, Read Write Inc. and Numicon.

About the Role
We are looking for an Editor to join our Primary English team on a fixed term contract for 6 months and help us build our market-leading primary resources.

Responsibilities will include:

  • checking manuscripts and proofs
  • liaising with a variety of suppliers including authors and freelancers
  • maintaining schedules, budgets and quality control
  • helping to manage, support and quality control editorial freelancers
  • maintaining an awareness of customer needs.

About You
The successful candidate will:

  • have editorial skills and experience in digital and print
  • have a keen eye for detail
  • be able to work under pressure and to manage several things at once
  • be a good project manager
  • enjoy working in a team
  • be an excellent communicator
  • have a genuine interest in primary level resources
  • be able to demonstrate market awareness of primary education
  • be educated to degree level or equivalent with excellent English language skills.

 

Salary dependent on skills and experience.
