About the Role
The Journals End User Marketing team is seeking a talented, creative, and highly organised Portfolio Marketing Executive to work across a list of high profile journals. The successful candidate will have full ownership of the marketing that is delivered.

You will be responsible for working in collaboration with internal and external colleagues to develop strategic marketing plans, and then execute the plans via integrated campaigns in order to drive online usage, encourage high quality submissions, and build brand and profile.

The Portfolio Marketing Executive requires a range of marketing skills, and duties will include:

  • Creating strategic marketing plans for each title on the list
  • Relationship and client management. You will have a direct relationship with journal editorial boards and societies, establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders in order to influence and drive forward marketing strategies that deliver results
  • Implementing digital marketing campaigns using the full range of tools and techniques, including Pay-Per-Click (PPC), email marketing, social media channels, and online advertising
  • Coordinating the design and print of conference collateral
  • Representing OUP and the journal brands at international conferences and meetings
  • Effectively set and managing a budget
  • Communicating with external clients by email, telephone, and face to face meetings
  • Campaign analysis and preparation of marketing reports
  • Liaising with regional marketing colleagues to coordinate global campaigns.

The role involves working across global teams, and so diplomacy and tact, influencing and persuasion skills, and excellent communication skills in all forms are essential. Some international travel may be required.

About You
The successful candidate will:

Essential

  • Have experience of marketing campaign planning and implementation
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, and a proven ability to build strong relationships
  • Embrace change, remain positive under pressure, and enjoy the support of a driven and interactive team
  • Be well organized and have the time-management skills to be able to prioritize a challenging workload
  • Have the ability to work on their own initiative
  • Be creative and able to generate ideas for their own campaigns as well as share ideas with a collaborative team

Desired

  • Strategic marketing planning experience
  • Budget management experience.
