Formed in 2005 as a spin-out from Imperial College London, Epigeum develops and sells high quality online training programmes for the higher education sector.  Epigeum has been part of Oxford University Press since 2015.

The marketing team is responsible for marketing strategy, delivery and sales and implementation support for the full range of online training programmes published by Epigeum.

An opportunity has arisen for a creative, strategic and detail-oriented professional to join Epigeum’s marketing team as Marketing Executive or Senior Marketing Executive – driving awareness, lead generation, usage and renewals in relation to a range of online training programmes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of marketing activity for a selection of products – ensuring that campaigns are delivered in a timely fashion, within budget, and in line with agreed strategic objectives. Working with diverse internal and external stakeholders, the post-holder will devise compelling customer value propositions, translate these into efficient, integrated campaigns, and monitor results to maximise reach and engagement.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Contribute to the development of the Epigeum marketing strategy, ensuring that all activity is aligned with the agreed strategic direction and key objectives
  • Plan, implement, communicate and evaluate all marketing activity in relation to a range of Epigeum products, reflecting knowledge of key markets and awareness of targets
  • Support budgetary management by conducting marketing activities within agreed spending limits, tracking expenditure, and flagging up potential overspend or underspend
  • Build positive working relationships with internal colleagues and key external stakeholders to ensure effective communication between all parties and to drive product sales and usage
  • Undertake additional specific activities and responsibilities as required, including internal communications, reporting and product training

ABOUT YOU:

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of implementing a wide range of marketing activities to a deadline and budget
  • The ability to analyse the effectiveness of marketing tactics and adapt accordingly
  • The capacity to independently manage a varied and demanding workload
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in copywriting for B2B and/or B2C audiences
  • A creative approach, and willingness to embrace change and innovate
  • Confidence with using a range of IT systems in a marketing context
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and team-working skills
