Digital Communication Manager

The Peter Lang Publishing Group is seeking to recruit an experienced Digital Communication Manager for the marketing department to commence immediately or by agreement.
 

In this function you coordinate all Social Media activities and digital marketing campaigns. As portal manager, you supervise the Peter Lang website and webshop as well as the digital library in close collaboration with a software enterprise in the US. You are in charge of all requirements surrounding the website and its releases, serving as the interface between the service provider of our ERP system and our website.
 

Your tasks:
• Ownership of the group social media strategy
• Operational management of all digital marketing activities (Social Media and e-newsletter)
• Generation of high-quality content for Social Media and e-newsletters
• Continuous assessment of competition and identification of digital trends
• Reporting, web analysis and performance evaluation of online presence
• Monitoring of all aspects of SEO performance and opportunities, including short- and long-term development and marketing
• Forming strategic partnerships with agencies and media
• Organization and implementation of website release testing, incl. definition of test cases
• Optimization of portal and participation in defining and establishing the strategic direction of the website

Your profile:
You have successfully completed your university studies in marketing and/or communication or have a comparable degree. You demonstrate strong creative and conceptual skills in the area of Social Media and showcase a high technical affinity. A keen eye and desire for spotting future digital trends and the following skillset complement your profile:
• Professional experience in performance marketing/e-commerce. Strong project management skills and desire and willingness to further develop already acquired skills. Experience in publishing industry advantageous
• Deep understanding and hands-on knowledge of Google products, SEO tracking solutions, Social Media channels
• Good knowledge of HTML and CSS, and familiarity with technical aspects of website development (project management experience in website development an advantage)
• Experience in creating and maintaining web content
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, and with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Meticulous attention to detail, well organized, strong teaming and collaboration skills. Strong focus on performance and results. High degree of initiative and pro-active approach
• Excellent communication skills in English (German an advantage)
