Non-Fiction Deputy Publishing Director, Transworld

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial Deputy Publishing Director to commission non-fiction, spanning topics such as science, history and business/economics.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to run their own list and manage, develop, and enable colleagues to also do their best work.

You’ll be confident in your judgement of trends and be able to think creatively about acquiring. You’ll need a strong and current commissioning portfolio and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the market, retailers, audiences and competitors.

We’re a small, close-knit team who give each other the space to work independently and the support to work collaboratively. We pride ourselves on the quality of our relationships at Transworld, so you’ll need significant experience in maintaining agent/author relationships, and be comfortable working closely with sales, marketing, finance and other internal and external teams.

Currently based in Ealing, this role will be based in Nine Elms from June 2020.

If this sounds like you, please apply with a CV and cover letter by 24th June, though we will be considering applications on a rolling basis.
