Editor, BBC Books

BBC Books, an imprint of Ebury Publishing, publishes bestsellers in cookery and lifestyle, memoir, natural history, pop culture, humour/gift and more. Our list is home to some of the UK’s biggest brands, including Doctor Who, Good Food, Strictly Come Dancing, Eat Well for Less and Match of the Day, and our authors include Mary Berry, Rick Stein, Adam Henson, Jon Sopel, Stacey Dooley and David Attenborough.

We are looking for a talented and confident editor to join our team and manage some of our most important books and brands. You will be responsible for a number of illustrated, complex titles, seeing them through copyediting and proofreading, interior and cover design, and liaising with authors, agents, designers, photographers, television producers and executives across the BBC to make our next bestsellers a reality.

If you have worked in a similar publishing environment, ideally with some cookery and lifestyle experience in the mix, and are looking for a chance to take your already-excellent editing and project management skills to the next level, we’d like to hear from you.

Self-motivated and adaptable, you should have a feel for quality design, and be equally at home working on a high-profile natural history title or a quirky gift book. And you should be as passionate about television and radio as you are about books.

Please apply with your CV and cover letter by 24th June.
