Marketing Manager, Vintage

Ours is a Vintage story. It’s the story of the greatest writers from around the globe and across the ages, inventing new worlds and exploring our own. It’s the story of imaginations being captured and prizes being won, from the Nobel and Booker to the Pulitzer and beyond.

Our story continues. And it’s growing and evolving all the time, built on a promise to seek out and promote the best writing.  We now need someone to join our team to help send these stories out into the world.  Are you that person?

VINTAGE is looking for an experienced marketer to plan and implement outstanding market-leading campaigns and year-round strategies for crime fiction titles. You will work with some of the world’s bestselling and acclaimed crime authors, including Jo Nesbo, Ruth Ware, Denise Mina, Fred Vargas, Stuart Neville, Arnaldur Indridason, Abir Mukherjee and Arne Dahl. You will also have an opportunity to work on select fiction and non-fiction from across the VINTAGE lists.

Across your campaign work, you will display excellent organisational and planning skills and will be able to evaluate campaigns and share your findings with the wider team. Confidence in running effective digital campaigns, a robust understanding of analytics, emerging technologies and great digital contacts are must-haves. You will be innovative in your approach and always looking for ways to reach new readerships, with a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace, a keen eye for competitor activity and impeccable author care.

Playing a key role in promoting Vintage’s crime strategy, you will need to communicate effectively with a wide range of departments from home and international sales to publicity, editorial and design. You will also represent Vintage’s crime titles within Penguin Random House and to external partners.

With creativity at the centre of this role, you will be able to confidently lead creative brainstorms and have a flair for design, ideally with experience of using Adobe Suite. You will also have superb copywriting skills. Marketing experience within the publishing industry is essential.

The role is based in Pimlico, London, and you will report to the Vintage Head of Marketing.

Please apply with a CV and covering letter by Friday 20th January.
