This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to join our busy Publishing Operations department, working closely with the Rights and Production teams to produce titles from our award winning Children’s book lists in over 40 different languages. 

Your role will involve liaising with international publishing partners, sending out files, pre-flight checking of incoming files, monitoring schedules and deadlines for individual titles and final advance approval. You will also assist in file conversions to InDesign and making PDFs.

Excellent communication skills are required as you will need to liaise with a variety of external and internal contacts, as are excellent organization and time-management skills, a good eye for detail and an ability to work well under pressure. Applicants must demonstrate solid IT skills in a Mac environment with a good knowledge of InDesign, Acrobat and Photoshop and a good understanding of pre-press processes. Previous experience in a book publishing environment is preferred.

This role is for a fixed term of 12 months and will be based in our offices in Farringdon.
