Editor, Arrow

Are you an experienced editor with a love of powerful storytelling?

We have an opportunity for a highly motivated Editor to join the Arrow team and to acquire and publish a range of titles across our saga and women’s fiction lists.

Arrow is the home to some of the biggest brands in fiction, including bestselling authors James Patterson, Katie Fforde, Lisa Jewell, Harlan Coben, EL James and Katie Flynn, as well as a thriving saga list and an envied back catalogue of authors including Harper Lee.

As Editor you’ll manage a thriving list of authors from acquisition to publication and you’ll be encouraged to grow Arrow’s reach further by bringing new titles to the list.

You’ll have a solid grounding in editorial, and you’ll bring drive and ambition to the books you publish, working collaboratively with the internal editorial team, authors, agents as well as the wider marketing, publicity, sales and design teams.

Your communication skills will be first-rate, and you’ll be keen to listen to and encourage a range of different views and opinions. You’ll also be commercially savvy, able to spot a trend in the market, and have strong organization skills and attention to detail. A safe pair of hands, you’ll be able to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects without compromising quality.

What you’ll get in return is the chance to manage and grow a commercial fiction list with encouragement and support from senior members of the division, be part of a creative and innovative team, and work with a dynamic range of authors and books.

If this sounds like your perfect next step, please apply with a CV and cover letter no later than Thursday 29th August.
