Penguin Random House, the largest and most successful general book publisher within the UK, has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and highly motivated salesperson to join our Adult Non-Trade Sales team. The successful individual will become an integral part of the team, responsible for looking after high profile brand & media partnerships for the PRH Group adult divisions.
Reporting to the Head of Non-Trade Sales, Adult, you will be expected to build, manage and develop relationships with new and existing clients, brands, promotional agencies, newspapers etc. You will need to develop effective and innovative strategies for incentive driven sales which reflect the tone and direction of the PRH brand.
The role entails cherry picking and brainstorming for appropriate titles, brands or content from the PRH Group’s extensive Adult front list and catalogue that are suitable for customers and for promotional briefs. The successful candidate will have responsibility for generating high profile sales promotions, maximising turnover in this area and working to targets set by the Head of Non-Trade Sales, Adult and Sales Director.
To be considered for the role you must have significant sales experience and, ideally, a history of successful incentive driven promotional sales campaigns. You should combine this knowledge of the marketplace with your commercial acumen and creative flair to create promotions that are both profitable and innovative. You will have excellent communication skills, thrive within a busy team environment and enjoy working with customers and closing deals. Candidates who have worked in brand agencies and marketing agencies would also be welcome for consideration.
