Rights Operations Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for a Rights Operations Manager to join our award-winning Rights team.
We are looking for an ambassador for change who is confident in driving forward our strategy to improve and deliver on Rights operational activities. If you are an innovative and strategic thinker who can demonstrate creativity with sound commercial and problem solving acumen whilst understanding the ever-changing needs of the business then this could be the ideal role for you.
Working alongside the Head of Rights Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational management of Rights deals secured by the Rights Sales teams.
With two direct reports, and working hand in hand with the Rights Sales teams, Design, Editorial and Production, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the co-edition and contracts process from order confirmation through to delivery of finished books, maintaining excellent internal and external customer service.
The Rights Operations team are also responsible for providing additional support to the Rights Sales team, including budgeting and invoicing, new title planning, managing the Rights guides and the supply of material for book fairs and sales trips.
One of our strategic goals is to assess, improve and deliver on all Rights operational activities and as such, you will have an understanding of the co-edition production process with experience of project management and process improvement. You will continually assess and improve our ways of working, encourage best practice and implement a strategy to deliver growth in conjunction with key stakeholders.
Whilst this is not a sales role and you do not need to have previous Rights experience, you may however already work in a Publishing Production or Operations role and looking for a new challenge.
