Assistant Editor / Editor, Rider Books

Ebury is looking for a proactive Assistant Editor or Editor to join one of its most prestigious, successful and inspirational imprints, Rider Books.

Rider has published voices that offer new ways of living and thinking for over 100 years; from Sunday Times bestselling author of The Choice Edith Eger and international bestsellers like Deepak Chopra to perennial bestsellers such as Women Who Run with the WolvesThe Rider Waite Tarot and Man’s Search for Meaning. The list publishes across inspirational memoir, spiritual and mental wellbeing, philosophy and popular psychology.

As Assistant Editor / Editor you’ll oversee titles through the whole publishing process. With a positive attitude and keen eye for detail you’ll have proven experience in a wide range of editorial tasks as well as liaising with authors, freelancers and internal teams, and managing budgets.

There is also scope in this role to commission. As part of a small and supportive team you’ll be encouraged to spot trends, generate ideas and think creatively about how to reinvigorate backlist titles.

If you’re up for the challenge, please apply with a CV and Cover Letter, telling us about a recent bestselling book that has inspired you.

The closing date for this opportunity is midnight on Wednesday 3rd April 2019.
