Production Controller

Priddy Books, a children's publisher of baby, pre-school and novelty books, is looking for a Production Controller.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly-organised person to join our busy Production team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career in publishing, and is keen to work on a wide range of book products for children.

Key responsibilities of this role will include scheduling, costing and fulfilment of frontlist, back list and special sales titles through the production process. It will also include negotiating with suppliers, working with the Creative and Sales teams to meet deadlines, and working with printers to ensure that books are produced to a high standard and delivered on time.

The successful candidate will be proactive and self-motivated, with a flexible approach and a problem-solving attitude. They will have excellent communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. They will also be able to work well as part of a team. Ideally they will have some knowledge of working with Biblio, but this is not essential.
