Administration Executive
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to work in the publishing industry, providing administrative support and assistance across a broad range of activities that the Publishers Association is involved in. You will be an integral part of an organization dedicated to representing the interests of UK publishers.
The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative, written and oral communication skills, with strong IT skills. You will have an enthusiasm for working in a busy office environment, working to tight deadlines and working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
The role has varied responsibilities including (but not limited to) office administration, membership interactions, providing the secretariat for a range of meetings of our members, general desk research, knowledge management, administrative support for PA events and arranging meetings and travel for our senior management team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide the administration and secretariat for a range of member committees and councils (including minute taking and follow up actions), working closely with the policy and comms teams
- Provide administrative support to the diaries of the senior management team
- Provide the administration support for PA events, working with Eventbrite and Survey Monkey
- Regularly update content on the PA website
- Be the entry point liaison for new members to the PA and to link them into the working groups and communication channels of the PA
- Maintain the PA member databases
- Manage team travel plans (booking trains, flights and hotels)
- Develop and maintain various SharePoint sites for effective internal communications
- Provide basic office administration support (ie ordering office supplies, answering office switchboard and email)
Essential knowledge and experience:

Highly skilled in administration activities including minute taking

Strong IT skills including experience in content management systems and websites

Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft packages

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to work effectively with third party service providers

Able to demonstrate excellent organisational and time/workload management skills
