UK Sales Assistant

The Quarto Group makes and sells great books that entertain, educate and enrich the lives of adults and children around the world. We publish books from a diverse portfolio of imprints that are creatively independent. We sell books across 50 countries and in 39 languages through a variety of traditional and non-traditional channels, while constantly looking for new ways to create and deliver content.
 

We are looking for a full time, UK Sales Assistant to provide general assistance to the UK Adult and Children’s Sales team and to liaise with Sales representatives. This role is responsible for the collation, distribution, and creation of standard sales materials and will manage event stock in line with the Publicity department. You will be the liaison for all sales force requirements as well as being the customer and author liaison for order processing. This role provides general administrative support, including completing key retailers and wholesalers monthly and quarterly sales spreadsheets. You will also be the main contact for general sales enquiries.
 

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed self-starter and multi-tasker who has a passion for both adult and children’s books and who would like to pursue a career in publishing within a sales environment. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Excellent administration, organisational and time management skills (i.e. the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise own workload)
• Excellent communication, IT and written skills
• Initiative and attention to detail
• A team player
