RIBA Publishing provides high-quality practical, technical, and professional guidance for architects, students and construction professionals. Its core areas are: practice and project management, building regulations, sustainability, contracts and building design guidance.
We are looking for an organised, motivated and creative Assistant Editor to join our publishing team within the RIBA. In this role you will help manage the forward publishing programme, ensuring books are published on time and to budget. Demonstrating your excellent project-management skills, you will be able to handle multiple projects at once, from handover from Commissioning Editors, co-ordinating manuscript and image handover to the Production team.
A key part of this exciting role will be working closely with the Commissioning Editors on ensuring sample, draft and final manuscript and images are delivered to agreed schedules and are of high quality.
You will have a minimum of two years’ experience in editorial on highly-illustrated books, and an understanding of architecture and the wider construction industry would be advantageous.
