Marketing Executive

A leading Society publisher based in London is looking to recruit a switched on and motivated Marketing Executive to join their friendly marketing team.

This role is ideal for an ambitious Marketing Assistant who has experience within a publishing marketing environment, who is looking for the next step in their career and who would like more responsibility and a broader learning curve. The Marketing Executive will work closely with the Head of Marketing & Sales to provide marketing support including the full marketing mix.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Help to develop the annual marketing strategy for the Society
• Reporting on the outcomes of the marketing plan including website usage statistics and data analysis
• Oversee the production of marketing campaigns and materials, liaising with external agencies and printers as required
• Ensure the websites marketing pages are updated and maintained
• Write copy and prepare promotional items for the publications, including leaflets and other agreed promotions.
• Work closely with the Online Development Manager to ensure websites  marketing pages are maintained
• Oversee and manage the organisation of attendance at Conferences
• Attend industry meetings with the Manager on behalf of the Society

The successful person will have:

• Some experience in a marketing role as an Assistant or Coordinator etc. within publishing
• Some experience in coordinating and managing online and offline marketing campaigns including email, direct mail, advertising, surveys
• Strong copywriting skills
• The ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and the ability to work with the Head of Marketing & Sales to plan a marketing strategy
• The ability to interact and engage within an academic and professional environment
