Sales Manager – UK and Ireland

Due to growth, we have a fabulous opportunity for an experienced Sales professional to join their online sales team and be responsible for sales across all the eBooks and online reference products in the UK and Ireland.  Working for this highly successful, international publisher based in the Oxford area, this role will identify promotional opportunities to maximise revenue and take responsibility for projects as required within the eBooks and on-line department.

 

This is an ideal role for an ambitious sales person looking for their next step in sales management and key responsibilities will include:

  • Building long term relationships with a portfolio of existing customers, gaining a deep understanding of the customer’s market and needs to provide a tailored sales service.
  • Approach and promote eBook and online sales models to institutional customers to maximise sales and grow customer accounts.
  • Attend relevant conferences and events to build relationships and build new customer relationships.
  • Negotiate and agree sales proposals and licenses
  • Implement a strategy that identifies opportunity for growth in the territories and achieve volume year revenue targets.
  • Take responsibility for projects as required within the eBooks and online department and the wider company.

This is a role with a great deal of potential and scope to develop, and the successful person will have:

  • A proven track record of achieving targets and who has strong influencing and communication skills.
  • Proven sales experience within the publishing industry
  • Experience of dealing with a client base in the UK and Ireland would be useful but not essential.
  • A willingness to travel to potential sales opportunities in the UK and Ireland
