Scholastic is the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books, and in the UK is home to authors and illustrators including Philip Pullman, Julia Donaldson, Axel Scheffler, Roddy Doyle and Liz Pichon, and series including The Hunger Games, Horrible Histories, Fantastic Beasts and Captain Underpants. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our London team as an Editorial Assistant.

You will assist and support the Publisher and Non-Fiction and Licensing team to ensure that list targets are achieved in an efficient and timely manner while gaining invaluable experience of publishing processes. You will update schedules and licensing submissions, perform a variety of supportive administrative tasks and liaise with other departments as well as various other duties to support the team.

You will also be required to complete proofreading tasks, check and correct all ebook editions, complete Anglicisations of US titles, update imprint pages, write sales and cover copy, alongside maintaining accurate and consistent information on our database.

You will be a self-motivated, highly organised individual who deals efficiently and effectively with a wide range of tasks. Educated to a degree level you must be an individual who has excellent copywriting skills, a meticulous eye for detail and an ability to work with a broad spectrum of people.
