BACKGROUND

The Blair Partnership manages brand, franchise and creative coordination across the Wizarding World™. This includes J.K. Rowling’s print and digital publishing, stage and theatrical rights, as well as the coordination of other brand and franchise focused commercial activity with partners, most notably including Warner Bros. This role is an integral part of the Brand & Franchise Development Team.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The role is focused on representing our client in the development of brand management, marketing strategy, materials and activations in partnership with key franchise partners. As a key brand guardian, this role takes the lead in ensuring brand and product marketing reflects our client’s vision, the franchise brand values, and is in line with the strategic franchise plan. The individual in this role is responsible for collaborating with partners to achieve high quality materials, and approving those materials on behalf of our client.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

  • Leads key projects across multiple categories, with the ability to flex across different categories.
  • Owns and develops strategic plans and guidelines across a portfolio of categories and projects.
  • Supports Chief Creative Officer developing long term brand and franchise strategy.
  • Provides project leadership in line with the global franchise plan, remaining faithful to the Wizarding World canon and values in all aspects of development of campaigns and materials, driving quality and innovation.
  • Proactively identifies process improvement and development with partners, and implements through strong project management.
  • Leads on strategic calls and meetings with both internal and external stakeholders, and manages stakeholder relationships so they are both amiable and respectful.
  • Acts as a role model for other members of the team and mentors and collaborates, lending their experience to support on key projects.
  • Actively participates in team meetings and workshops, collaborating closely with colleagues across a variety of categories, working together for the success of all projects.
  • Consistently demonstrates the TBP values through their work and interactions with key internal and external stakeholders.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Demonstrable professional experience in a marketing/brand management role.
  • An expert negotiator and stakeholder manager, able to collaborate with partners and stakeholders at a senior level, dealing with complex and challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Brand/Franchise marketing expertise with an understanding of marketing, comms and brand management specifically.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, creative and innovative.
  • Able to work across multiple projects simultaneously and deliver against tight deadlines.
  • Able to work autonomously and to remain agile and prioritise projects in a rapidly changing work environment.
  • Strong team-working skills and the ability to maintain good working relationships with internal and external teams.
