Head of Quality Management

Taylor & Francis journals has a vacancy for a Head of Quality Management working in its journals production department. Heading up a small team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and development of the department's quality management system. This comprises of a suite of process documentation, online resources, metrics and reporting tools, educational programme, specialised helpdesk and portfolio of improvement projects. He or she will also coordinate the department's contribution to Taylor & Francis Group's Lean Six Sigma Programme.
 

This role will involve:
•    Promoting awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation
•    Manages and coordinates the lean six sigma programme
•    Sets quality objectives, monitors and reports on progress towards goals
•    Establishes, maintains and audits all the processes required to implement a quality management system (QMS)
•    Coordinates improvements to the QMS
•    Ensures that all new staff are inducted into the requirements of the QMS
•    Provides leadership, support and development opportunities to the QMS Specialists
•    Strives for quality excellence by developing and improving KPIs
 

To be successful the ideal candidate will have:
•    Lean six sigma methodology
•    Strong problem-solving and solution-finding tools
•    Experienced in change management
•    Strong project management and quality management experience
•    Excellent communicating and influencing skills
