Publicity and Marketing Executive

Thames & Hudson is looking for a Publicity and Marketing Executive to join their fast-paced and dynamic Communications team.

Thames & Hudson is one of the world’s leading publishers of illustrated books. We publish high quality books across all areas of visual creativity: the arts, architecture, design, photography, fashion, film and music, and also archaeology, history and popular culture.

We also publish innovative and inspirational books for children, by the finest children’s authors and illustrators from across the world. We work with household names as well as exciting new talent, such as Quentin Blake, Alan Ahlberg, Jen Campbell, Yuval Zommer, Beatrice Alemagna and OKIDO.

You will have responsibility for planning and implementing high impact marketing and publicity campaigns for the Thames & Hudson children’s list, as well as for a selection of craft, design and lifestyle titles from the adult list.

Organised, confident and enthusiastic, you will demonstrate the ability to think strategically and creatively and be comfortable working on multiple campaigns simultaneously. The role is an exciting next step for someone with experience working on integrated campaigns and who is looking to take on more responsibility.  

Key duties include:

• Devising and implementing campaigns across trade marketing, online consumer outreach, and review and feature coverage in print and online
• Building relationships with key influencers, journalists, bloggers and vloggers in order to increase coverage for Thames & Hudson titles
• Working with bookshops, venues and festivals to organise author events
• Providing excellent author care
• Circulating reviews, plans and materials to the sales and editorial teams
• Working with the Sales team to secure in-store visibility for our titles and our brand  
• Collaborate with the Marketing Designer to create POS and other marketing materials
• Setting up partnerships & running competitions
• Contributing to T&H’s online and social media content

You will be based in our offices on High Holborn, with easy access to the Northern, Central and Piccadilly lines as well as many bus routes.
