Publishing Manager, Titan Comics & Magazines

Reporting to: Executive Director & Publisher

Job Description

• Overall management of Titan Comics & Magazines division, including editorial, marketing, sales (newsstand, book & comic store & digital), advertising, subs, rights sales, design and all the staff within these departments.
• Project acquisition/new business for all Titan Comics & Magazines new projects- working in conjunction with Publisher and Exec Director
• Approving contract management including ensuring all contract points are adhered to from approvals to royalty statements/reports, expiry reports and stock management - as run by and presented by Contracts Manager
• Approving all financial budgets, costings and forecasts - as created by Global Sales Director and Sales & Circulation Manager, working in conjunction with Publisher and Exec Director
• Contact point for all Titan Comics & Magazines licensors and creators for creator-owned projects - working in conjunction with Publisher and Exec Director
• Attending key licensor meetings (e.g. BBC, Disney, etc) - working in conjunction with Publisher and Exec Director and Editors
• Running Titan Comics schedules & production meetings - as produced by Managing Editor
• Overseeing all marketing, advertising and subscriptions plans and budgets - as produced by TC Commercial Manager, TC Marketing Consultant and TB Marketing Manager, working in conjunction with Publisher and Exec Director
• Overseeing all sales plans, projections and materials, including for magazines, books & comics, both physical and digital - as produced by Global Sales Director and Sales & Circulation Manager, working in conjunction with Publisher and Exec Director
• Overseeing and approving all editorial and design materials  - as presented by Managing Editor
• Overseeing design team budgets and actuals - as produced and presented by Managing Editor
• Reviewing rights sales - as sold by Rights Manager, working in conjunction with Publisher and Exec Director
• Reviewing Titan Comics & Magazines production issues - as overseen by Managing Editor
• Reviewing Titan Comics & Magazines Credit Control issues - as run by TPG Financial Controller and Head of Finance, working in conjunction with Publisher and Exec Director
• Producing pre-trip Publisher Objectives for the Publisher and Exec Director in a timely fashion
