Vermilion is growing fast and looking for a new Commissioning Editor. This is a rare opportunity for a passionate and creative editor to join our iconic personal development imprint, part of Ebury at Penguin Random House.

We publish books that inform, inspire and empower readers across popular psychology, pregnancy, parenting, health, diet, fitness, lifestyle and popular business. Our globally renowned authors include Brené Brown, Steve Peters, Marie Kondo, Tim Ferriss, Clemmie Hooper, Angela Duckworth and Gabor Maté.

You will be an ideas-generating go-getter. Positive and ambitious, you will have a restless appetite for finding new authors, whether for breakout bestsellers or strong niche titles. You keep your finger on the pulse, spot emerging trends, devour data, and can quickly see how to respond to reader demands. You have strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, an instinct for writing killer copy, and a keen eye for detail. A background in lifestyle publishing is ideal, but we are open to general non-fiction or wider editorial/media experience.
