Salary and Benefits	£36,500 per annum FTE, pro rata (£7,300 per annum for 1 day per week), including paid annual leave. Expenses: reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
Skills	A commitment to Bookbanks’ mission of widening access to books and reading; Proven experience of bookkeeping, ideally within a charity or small organisation; Working knowledge of payroll, PAYE and workplace pensions; An understanding of Gift Aid and charity finance requirements; A relevant qualification, such as AAT, or working towards one; Excellent numeracy, accuracy and a keen attention to detail; The ability to handle sensitive financial and personal information in a discreet and confidential manner; Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines while working a small number of days each month; Self-motivation and ability to work flexibly and independently, including managing email and online communications remotely; Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-specialists; Confident use of Sage or similar accounting software; Appetite to work with AI to maximise efficiency and automate processes where appropriate; Strong IT skills, including email, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel and online meeting platforms; Experience of general office or charity administration; A commitment to equality, diversity and respect for all.
