| Skills | The ideal candidate will be an experienced Preschool and Novelty editor, with strong market knowledge and a proven track record of both spotting talent and proactively developing new ideas and inventive formats. You must have significant experience of developing and working novelty titles. Additional experience of picture book publishing would be an advantage. You will have an established network of existing agent and author relationships, excellent negotiating skills and a strong understanding of novelty production processes and schedules. We want someone who can make an impact quickly, working across a wide range of formats as well as pitching new ideas for the list. You will work externally with authors, writers and agents, and internally with colleagues in editorial, design, production, sales, rights and marketing, in a fast-paced and vibrant environment. As such, you must be communicative, flexible, proactive and motivated, and able to use your initiative in handling competing priorities. Being highly organised with a keen eye for detail is a must. |

| Skills | Passion for, and ideally experience in, kids publishing; An eagerness to work on books that are already loved by many thousands of readers, across age groups, with a drive to reach more; Brimming with ideas, insight and energy for best-in-class brand publishing; A proven track-record in editing, acquiring, proactively working with authors to create ancillary book ideas and profitably publishing titles; Creativity and excellent commercial judgement; Strong skills in Power BI will be an advantage and excellent market awareness is essential; Confident negotiator who can challenge when required; Ability to operate as a trusted internal and external ambassador for the Puffin 6+ fiction brands; Skilled at communicating publishing strategy and performance to authors, agents and key external stakeholders as you lead several of the 6+ biggest fiction brands; Flair for good copy, design, and brand messaging; Well-practised in prioritising, multi-tasking, time management and working to deadlines; Keen team player, who is collaborative, but also comfortable working autonomously and making decisions. Proven author or creator care and relationship management; Confident partner for Marketing, Publicity, Sales and other internal teams to develop each brand’s publishing strategy and successfully bring books to market; Ability to balance long and short-term objectives and understanding of the legacy of best-loved series and authors. |

| Skills | Significant experience of creating multi-channel personalisation strategies, frameworks and use cases; Strong understanding of marketing technology infrastructure and customer data structures; A strong understanding of digital marketing channels; Strong analytical skills which you’ll apply to develop our personalisation strategy; Experience using personalisation tools such as Adobe Target, or equivalent personalisation platforms; Comfortable prioritising competing tasks and appropriately managing multiple stakeholders across our Brand division and wider publishing community; Relevant experience in project management with the ability to coordinate and manage cross-channel campaigns; An understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript would be advantageous; Highly collaborative with extensive interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally; Works effectively and inclusively with a range of people, both within and outside of the organisation; Demonstrates determination, resourcefulness and purpose to deliver; A growth mindset. |
