Author Operations and Services Senior Specialist

A world-leading Academic and STM publisher in Oxford needs a technologically savvy, customer-focused individual to help provide support for its author services platform. This role is based in their Oxford office at an exciting time of development and an opportunity to gain new skills and develop in a varied role.

Key duties:

• Support the Author Operations and Services first level support team
• Collect, analyse and report on data related to Author Operations and Services support
• Apply expertise and knowledge to new process design
• Document any changed business processes
• Keep up-to-date with changes in the intellectual property environment

Experience / skills required:

• Experience of interacting with editors and authors and an understanding of the author experience
• Knowledge of traditional and emerging technology-based publishing production processes
• Strong communication and relationship management skills are essential
• An understanding of open access and STM/academic journals publishing
