Account Manager, Research Groups | Academic | Oxfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Account Manager to join an innovative, award winning company specialising in working with researchers, and their institutions and funders, to maximise the visibility and impact of their published articles through their innovative web-based services.

 

The company has a strong range of clients and continues to expand their services, with new capabilities typically being researched, developed and tested as pilot projects. You will be responsible for managing relationships with pilot participants, and ensuring that potential clients make the transition from being pilot partners to being customers.

 

With a background in the HE sector and a good working knowledge of the research process, you will be well organised, a people person and a problem solver.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

• Developing strong relationships with pilot partners and research group customers

• Setting project timelines and deadlines, and planning work accordingly

• Obtaining feedback from partners

• Assisting in the outreach to and education of project partners and stakeholders

• Liaising with internal colleagues

• Contributing to the development of sales, product and marketing strategy

• Ensuring maximum partner conversion and client retention

• Using systems / tools such as SalesForce, Dropbox and Pivotal Tracker

 

Your knowledge of the research sector, perhaps as a researcher or in professional services in an HE institution will be important, as will your fantastic communication and influencing skills.

If you have project management experience and/or a postgraduate research qualification, that will be highly desirable.
