Account Manager - Subscriptions

We have a brilliant new role for an Account Manager with independent Scientific journals publisher in London. The role manages all existing subscriptions to their prestigious list of scientific journals.These are a mix of open access and traditional journals.

The journals are driven by high quality and many are high impact factor journals. They are all created in house and alongside this they are publishing thousands of articles each year. These are then sold via subscriptions to Academic Institutions and libraries globally.

The role of the account manager is keep an eye on the usage reports and make sure each subscriber is using the subscription and journals regularly and if not will then liaise with marketing department to encourage more usage throughout the year. Each activity the account manager will undertake will be pointed to maximum usage to ensure that the subscriptions are renewed at the end of the year.

This is a fantastic role for someone proactive, who enjoys analysing data and working well within a team to increase renewals and usage. It would suit someone who has completed an entry level role in publishing and now looking to move into a role where they can grow and develop with an entrepreneurial business.

Must haves:

·Highly organised and productive
·Self-motivated - driven and enthusiastic
·Analytical - interested in figures, results and being able to draw conclusions from data (training will also be given)
·Communication - able to communicate confidently and accurately internally and externally
·Confident
·Customer orientated - love and focus on delivering great customer service
·Interested in Client facing and sales roles
·ANy experience in sales or account management would be beneficial though not essential

You will ideally have knowledge of scholarly or scientific publishing or libraries.
