Acquisitions Editor - licensing, pop culture books

Think Selection has been asked exclusively by a leading independent publisher of illustrated non fiction and fiction books to find a talented Acquisitions Editor to join their London-based Publishing team.

This is a unique opportunity for a books editor or licensing specialist to acquire the rights for high-profile licensed adult books in the entertainment genres.

Reporting to the Publisher, as Acquisitions Editor you’ll identify emerging trends, negotiate and publish new license acquisitions, work with licensors, authors and other external stakeholders and champion your new book releases across the company.

We’re interested in talking with candidates with varying levels of experience – perhaps you’re an Editor looking for a step up in your career, or you may be someone with prior acquisitions experience.

The publishing house is based in central London and currently operates hybrid working of a minimum 2 days per week in the offices. A competitive salary is on offer to the successful candidate which will of course depend on the experience you bring.
