We have an amazing opportunity with a leading publisher of non-fiction (narrative and lifestyle), based in London, who are now looking to hire an Acquisitions Editor to develop a new list of narrative non-fiction titles and series. If you are a self-starter who thrives under pressure, are commercially minded and have a creative flair for narrative non-fiction, then this role could be for you!
We are looking for someone who is fantastic at spotting new trends, voices and talent! Our client would be excited by a "Make it happen" attitude, and by candidates who come with commissioning experience as well a strong network across the agenting world. Building and developing a wide author list is crucial for this role, along with being confident with book proposals and pitching. You must have working knowledge of managing the book process and working on narrative non-fiction titles. This a great opportunity for someone to make this list their own and lead from the front.
