Editorial Assistant

Independent children’s book publisher seeks a highly organised and creative editorial/admin assistant to support the editorial department on the fiction, picture book and character publishing lists. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational, copywriting and proof-reading skills, a good eye for detail, a passion for children’s books and the ability to juggle a diverse workload. This is a busy role within a small, friendly team based in Pimlico, and is a great opportunity to gain experience and knowledge of the publishing industry. Experience / skills required:

  • Proven office experience with strong organisational and administration skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine interest in children’s books
