Artworker
- Full-time – 3 month fixed-term contract (must be available immediately)

Thames & Hudson publishes beautiful books that opens doors onto all aspects of culture. Our list includes titles on art, architecture, design, photography, fashion, music and popular culture, history and archaeology, and a programme of innovative books for children.
The Role
We are seeking a skilled Artworker to join our team, working across our award-winning list of books on art, architecture, design, history, photography, fashion, lifestyle and music. This is a fantastic opportunity for an artworker who has a keen eye for detail, excellent software skills, and a passion for print production. You will collaborate closely with the design team and the Creative Director.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Cover Artworking: Create and finalize artwork for book covers, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and print specifications.
- Reprints: Manage and update artwork files for reprints, making sure everything is print-ready.
- Layout Corrections: Implement feedback and corrections to existing layouts with precision and efficiency, ensuring files are suitable for translation and co-edition where necessary.
- Basic Retouching & Colour Correction: Perform retouching, skewing and colour correction tasks as required.
- Sales Resources: Create occasional visual assets, such as 3D renders and Sales Sheets, to support our sales team.
- Design Support: Participating in team meetings and supporting the department in any design or administration capacity.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Previous experience using Adobe Creative Suite with accuracy, precision and efficiency, especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Excellent attention to detail and flawless file setup.
- Demonstrate good understanding of print production processes and experience preparing files for print.
- Strong organisation skills, and proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Reliable, methodical, and conscientious, keen to deliver to a consistent high standard.
- Flexible, open-minded and adaptable.
- Responsible, self-motivated and organised.
