Assistant Content Editor

An opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated, hard-working and exceptionally well-organised individual to work for a highly successful media and publishing company in the role of Assistant Content Editor.  This is an exciting role at the heart of the UK’s financial services media and whose main service is their online digital platform.

This is an ideal role for a publishing professional who enjoys dealing with content and is looking for a digital publishing role.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Responsibility for the day-to-day running of their flagship website, including the provision of press communications from subscribers to the financial journalist community, working with other content team members to maintain databases and responding to/dealing with enquiries from the website’s online community of journalists. PRs and communication professionals.
• Playing a significant role in evolving the website’s  content strategy, social media presence
• Contribute as required to the brand’s other successful content offerings
• Develop and maintain a community of contacts drawn from the UK’s financial journalist, financial PR and press office communities
• Where required, write, manage and commission the production of functional site content
• Copy edit and maintain quality of site content

This is a great role for someone who is looking for more responsibility and variety within a content role.  The successful person will need to have:

• Some experience of working in CMS systems
• Some experience or knowledge of working in a content role
• The ability to write excellent copy and able to meet deadlines
• Exceptionally great organisational and communication skills
• An interest in financial services media
• An interest in attending events
